Wednesday, October 15, 2025: Middle School Application Opens  - all P.S. 71 students must apply and if you want to remain at 71, put our middle school as your first choice! 

Monday, November 3, 2025: Deadline to register to test for Mark Twain I.S. 239 (21K239) and District 21 Talent Tests

Friday, December 12, 2025: Middle School Application Closes

Wednesday, April 15, 2026: Middle School Offer Release

During the application period, you can apply one of three ways:

• Online at MySchools.nyc(Open external link) or
• Through your current school counselor (for public DOE and charter school students)
• Through a Family Welcome Center (for private or parochial school students)

You can apply in English, Arabic, Bangla, Chinese, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish, or Urdu in MySchools(Open external link). If you would like to apply using another language, call us and ask for an interpreter.
